Dr. Alison Snow, PhD, LCSW-R, has nearly 20 years of experience working in the healthcare industry. Dr. Snow (she/her/hers) is a graduate of Columbia University's School of Social Work Master's program. She obtained a doctorate in Social Welfare from Hunter/The Graduate Center. Dr. Snow specializes in helping people to cope with the impact of a chronic illness, specifically cancer. Dr. Snow is the vice-chair of the Helen Rehr Center for Social Work Practice, an adjunct Assistant Professor at NYU School of Social Work and a Fellow at the New York Academy of Medicine. Alison has published her work in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks and has given numerous presentations to students, community and professional audiences. She has received recognition for her professional achievements from the National Association of Social Work - New York City Chapter in 2008 and 2015.
Dr. Snow understands the emotional and logistical challenges of a serious illness. She is skilled in cognitive behavioral therapy, hypnotherapy and palliative care. She has expertise in assisting patients and families with navigating the complexity of a diagnosis, treatment and post-treatment. Alison’s extensive clinical experiences, professional relationships, educational background and leadership roles enable her to bring an unparalleled level of expertise to Sancova Care, giving patients and families senses of unconditional support and security.

Samantha S. Rappaport, LCSW, M.A., is a graduate of NYU’s Silver School of Social Work, where she participated in the four year Zelda Foster Fellowship in Palliative & End of Life Care. Samantha (she/her/hers) has extensive experience working in hospital inpatient and outpatient settings, where she supported patients and families through acute crisis and chronic illness. Samantha received a Certification in Prolonged Grief Disorder from Columbia University’s Center for Prolonged Grief as well as a Loss & Bereavement Certificate from the Jewish Board of Family and Child Services. Samantha also holds a Masters Degree in Humanities & Social Thought from NYU’s Draper School and weaves her breadth of studies into her clinical work with patients and families. Samantha studied and practiced as a Psychotherapist and Post Graduate Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Fellow at a clinic in Manhattan. She is a long-time volunteer support group facilitator for caregivers of those living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. She is a yoga and mediation practitioner with a warm, empathetic spirit who brings a unique perspective and passion for existential psychotherapy to her work.
