Frequently Asked Questions

How long are your sessions?

Ongoing individual sessions are 45 minutes in length. As the initial consultation is more in depth, this first individual session is 60 minutes. Family sessions are typically 60 minutes. Group sessions range from 50-75 minutes, depending on group size.

How often are sessions?

Together we can decide on appropriate frequency. We typically will meet once or twice a week, but we are happy to work with your specific needs and schedules.

How do support service referrals work?

At Sancova Care, we believe holistic care is most advantageous to our patients. In your initial session, we will review our network of supportive services to ensure we fill in any gaps in your care, which you may find helpful. We can reach out to these providers together or you may reach out to them on your own; we will maintain communication with the providers as needed.

What are your fees?

Our fees depend on the length of the session and the services provided. Please contact info@sancova.care for more information about our fees and services. Payment for therapy services is due within three (3) business days of your session.

What is your cancellation policy?

While we understand that life throws unexpected curve balls, we ask that patients kindly respect our 24 hour cancellation policy to avoid a cancellation fee of your session cost.

How do I see my therapist or provider?

With the safety of our patients and clinicians in mind, we are currently offering virtual online and telephone individual, family, and group psychotherapy. Online sessions take place via HIPAA-compliant online video platform. You will receive an email with instructions prior to your first session, which will provide you with your ongoing session link. Please make sure that you are in a private place where you feel comfortable talking. Additionally, this service works best with a strong wireless connection. We ask that our initial consultation session is conducted via video; after this initial session, while we prefer video sessions, we are able to accommodate telephone sessions as needed.

What forms of payment are accepted?

All payments are accepted via personal check, Venmo, or Zelle.

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, Sancova Care is not a provider for any insurance company. We will gladly provide a statement of services rendered on a monthly basis so that you may submit to your insurance company according to your out-of-network benefit schedule to obtain reimbursement. To determine if your insurance company will reimburse for our sessions, call the number on your insurance card and ask the company the following questions:

Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health services?

If yes, what is my deductible for these out-of-network mental health services.

Once I reach this deductible, what percentage of fees will be reimbursed?

What do I (we) do now?

Contact us at info@sancova.care or to schedule a consultation.

Note to Patients: If at the time of treatment we decide that your reason for seeking treatment is beyond the scope of our practice, please know that it is our policy to find you the best fit, and sometimes that means referring you to another therapist.
